Jane Emerson is the heart and soul behind the delectable food and catering of Jane’s Catering.
Operating out of her mobile catering trailer around the Cassowary coast and Hinchinbrook districts, Jane is very well known in the region for her warm style, fantastic food and catering flair.
Jane moved to Cardwell by the Sea after selling her Gourmet Deli and Catering Business in Brighton, Melbourne. She was Chef and Owner of the Ship to Shore Bar and Bistro at Port Hinchinbrook Marina Resort from its infancy. Afterwards, Jane moved across to Hinchinbrook Island Resort and cooked for many overseas tourists with a menu that included an assortment of Native ingredients (including emu, kangaroo, and crocodile) .
Returning to the mainland, Jane saw an opportunity in a niche market which led her to acquiring the mobile food van on the picturesque Cardwell foreshore. Jane’s Catering now travel to Mission Beach, Innisfail, Townsville and surrounding areas for markets, weddings, seminars, wakes etc. providing fresh locally sourced ingredients for each event.
Jane and her team produce excellent event menus, tantilising buffets and upmarket individual menu’s and pride themselves on creating custom menus to suit any particular event or occasion.
